Are we talking about the grill or the chin spoiler and what year is your car?

The front grill and not the chin spoiler. I placed an order with Porscheshop.co.uk reassured me that they can get hold of it, what I received today was not OEM, just a set of standard black grills with a bad paint job that does not even match.

Hi guys,

I need to order a replacement front techequipment Alu matt finish grill for my Cayman S, all originally ordered from factory but now need to replace one of them due to a stone chip.

Now, Porsche are saying that they can not supply a replacement, but the entire kit! That's over £2800!!!

This can't be true and if it is, my days with Porsche are coming a head very quickly. Such a difficult company to deal with, love the product but this whole experience is leaving a very bitter taste in my mouth.

[]

Have you tried another Porsche Centre to check availability? Give Glen at Porsche Centre Leicester a call, he may be able to supply the part. 0116 276 4488

Thanks Paz, will do. From what I hear today from a reliable source is they are only available when you order the car from the factory. [] So you will have to purchase none painted ones and hope that the paint shop can match the paint and finish. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Hi Neil I think your dealership may have priced the hole job as the Tequipment Cayman Brochure as of Page 8 which inc Left & Right intake grilles & lower mirrors & the Side air intake Grilles & lower spoiler lip. The Brochure code I got the information from is part number WVK 611 320 08 E/WW if that any helps to yourself. With reference to the Front intake Grilles on my Cayman S they are black in colour & I would think you can just get these on there own & then all you would need to do is have them sprayed Silver to look the Aluminium look as the brochure says. When I order my Cayman S in 2008 the factory would not spray my lower mirror arms Guards Red they would only spray them the Aluminium look so my dealership arranged for the local Porsche Body shop to do the job for me at just over £100 for both lower mirror arms & I was so please with the work I had my Fog Light arms done the same way at a cost of only £126 & these prices are when I had the work done nearly 3 years ago so the prices would be a bit higher now in 2011. So my advice is shop around & double check you can just buy the Left & Right intake Grilles on there own & remember if your a member of the club you will get a extra 10% off the parts alone then all you will need is get them sprayed. All the best & good luck or just get the stone chipped ones re - spray & this would cost a bit less then you think. Yours Truly Kevin.

Hi Kevin, Many thanks for your reply, I've done exactly that. Ordered the front grills and will be getting my local body shop to spray up. I just need to verify the colour code, but understand from a very good friend of mine that "Titanium Silver" is the colour. Thank you once again, Neil.
