I visited Techno Classica in Essen on Sunday 30 March. Loads and loads of Porsches there - and some incredible prices for RS's - including 75,000 euros for a LHD Rubystone Lightweight on the Roock stand (and it wasn't a low miler either).

I took the opportunity to meet with Hacki (Hartwig) and we had a good conversation over lunch. Luckily he speaks very good English (much better than my minimal German). We'll have to persuade Hacki to bring that tiptronic cup car over for Silverstone Classic in the summer. How about it Hacki?

Hi Rich, looks like it was a great event. Can you pm me the pics of the 3.8 RSR's you've got..... just building up a collection and would like to add these to it if okay ?!

Thanks and hope all well.

I like that 944, presumably another in a long line of wacky performance estate cars built for the sultain of brunei?!.. [:D]

DP motorsport did or maybe still do ! a conversion kit that looked very similar to that pic. Make an interesting tow car.

... and very old, too. I think I saw it the first time in 1992. DP made a few of those as far as I know. Very professionally built.

Ben, it seems the forum PM facility is down at the moment. As soon as it's back I'll PM you to get your email address and send the pics over.
