Thought you might like to see a rather nice 993RS that was for sale on the stand of Thomas Schmitz.
I didn't get the price but it was there on the Friday and gone on Saturday (to be replaced with a colourful trio of 964RS's), so probably sold.

Plenty of 964RS at the show and some big prices being asked.

I see that you have a '74 2.7 Carrera.........very nice, will you restore or would you consider a sale? I'm looking at a couple in various states at the moment.

You need to update your status Paul as I believe from a conversation with Nick the 74 is no longer dormant but in progress :- ) Ian.

Thanks for the interest Robin but the car is being restored now (and not for sale). Good luck with your search, they are fantastic cars. 'Getting very difficult to find a good one though. There was a blue one for sale at Essen but it got snapped up the first afternoon when the show opened. By the time I got there it had gone. So, I don't know if it was a good one but it was big money and yet sold fast.

hahaha mate you just made me laugh out loud! i only put that because of this '74 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera (inching closer to completion of a superb restoration) i thought you had nearly finished!!!!

ORIGINAL: kjlowe The midnight blue 993rs and low mileage rubystone 964rs were 169k euros each on Thursday.
Stop the world...I want to get off....I'm dizzy!!!.......It's all getting a little silly now isn't it??!!! [8D]

Robin, the problem is that there are so few of them. Many were retro'd into 2.7RS look-a-likes, others as they rotted were raided for spares for genuine 2.7 RS' ... etc. If my memory serves me correctly taking RHD UK cars, there were around 45 '74 cars and 25 '75 cars ... from new. Of these, roughly one third have been consumed, one third are reasonably nice and one third are awaiting very expensive restoration. Of the latter, most will have been raided of at least some original parts. You will find the most comprehensive information here http://carreramfi.com/ And a lot of information on values ....
