Teflon Tape Windscreen

Hi all, I am about to have a new windscreen fitted, I have a teflon tape fitted to the existing surround, it goes on before the final seal is fitted to stop the dreaded sqeaks and creaks. The company that fitted my last one are no longer in buisness, and Porsche do not list this as an available part. Does anyone know where one can be purchased.

Kind regards

Its a clear flat tape that goes on around the windscreen appature before the final rubber finishing seal goes on. Its clear tape about 25mm wide.

If you have no rust issues around the windscreen frame, a better solution than the teflon tape, would be to fill the void behind the outer cosmetic rubber windscreen seal with bostic sealant, by doing that it stops the sqeaks and more importantly it stops water laying in the void and causing rust.its a Porsche recommend fix and there is a Porsche TSB detailing the procedure. It also can be done to rear screen

back in 2007 i had mid sussex porsche do that on my 993, but tonbridge porsche had the tape as well !
only reason i had mid sussex do it cuz it were just under 90 squids !!!!
