Teledials

My old wheels are sat languishing in my folks garage at present and am pondering trying to sell them on.

Is there much interest in them - must be 16" if they are from a turbo ?

What sort of money do they go for (depending on condition of course) ?

I ended up selling mine on. I was keeping them just in case i decided to return my car to standard in the future but I think i'm too far past the point of no return so sold them on. I actually quite liked them and if they were 17" wheels they'd probably be on my car now but I decided to let them go. I didn't have any problem selling them.

I've just bought some for £120 including tyres with 7mm tread. Nearly bought some for £100 without tyres. So, that might be your mark. Try them on a VW website, they are used on VW vans.

Yup had been keeping them in case someone in the future wanted to restore her to something closer to original spec but am also thinking this is increasingly unlikely especially if I press ahead with more mods as am considering in the nearish future. Also can't see me selling her anyways....

The 16" teledials are great wheels - early offset may be less popular though

I'd have thought they would fetch much more than £120 in good condition

Non-refurbed 15" Teles would be worth that sort of money minimum I'd say. 16" look better and are rarer so they have to be worth more.

I would cash them in as you will keep them for years just in case and then you will only end up getting rid at a later date.

Aye must say would have hoped for rather more than £100 - £120 [&:]

Have taken some pics which as usual are too large to embed - someone from the forum has contacted me about the wheels so I will look to get them sent to him.

If anyone else is interested by all means send me a message and I will send the pics through.

Open them one at a time in Paint (every PC has it - I'm sure those Macs must have something similar if you have one of them since they are supposed to be so superior [8|]). Press ctrl-W and set it to something like 30 in resize each box, then save as another name (just so you don't save over the top of the original). Then you can upload the file you just saved as it should be small enough.

I have just paid £450 plus vat and plus delivery for 16" turbo teledials as they are the only offsets that fit. This was from a well known second hand Porsche parts specialist and they werent even refurbished !. They were very hard to locate and quotes such as " rare as rocking horse **** " frequently used. Got offered £25 a wheel p/x for my 15" (v good condition) but I would have to pay to deliver them .

This is what I was saying above - 15" are common and not that attractive, 16" are rare and look good. Supply and demand.
