Also, what network is the SIM? I believe there are some that are not compatible.
Look under the driver's seat (RHD car). If there is a silver box in a black frame bolted to the floor, then you have the phone module. If not, you haven't.

PCM1 was the main two networks, PCM2 is as far as I'm aware nearly all networks.
Like Richard says, option codes or failing that the silver box (or ring the OPC who will probably tell you from the chassis number[])

By the main 2 networks, do you mean O2 and Vodaphone? I've been meaning to buy a sim for my PCM1 and don't want to buy the wrong one.

I think it is down to the frequency, GSM1200 or 1800( or something) which vodaphone and O2 are.. - please note I'm no phone techy but its something along the lines of that..
Orange are different and I still remember the excitement of dual band phones!! []
