How well did you bleed the system after changing it? They are well known pains in that respect! Air around the sensor acn give strange readings, but shoulld level off with use. Mike

Fellow tinkerers, has any one replaced the temperature sensor, the one on the block to the right of the DME temp sensor, and experienced the following?

I replaced my original sensor on Sunday, with one from a reputable source, and on its first outing since, the temperature reading goes off the scale. This leads me to believe either the calibration of the replacement is inconsitent with my original or that it will sort itself out over time. The car doesn't appear to hot, nor were the fans cutting in, so it would suggest its the sensor, but then I know nothing!

Thoughts anyone

The one with 2 spade terminals on it? This one only affects the gauge (not ecu or fans) which would indicate a fault with the sensor. Its also worth checking the terminals as they tend to be quite fragile and corroded after 20 years, it could be a poor connection.

It's one on the block not the rad, so no bleeding necessary - I hope! Oh and thanks for the advice re the dipped headlights working a few weeks back, I forgot about the switch on the centre consol. [8|]
