Temperature gauge flashing!

childish

Driving home tonight the warning light on the temperature gauge started to flash. I checked the coolant level and that's fine. Has anyone else had a similar problem or an ideas what could be wrong?[:(]

I had it checked out at the chiswick opc and they have confirmed it is a coolant leak from the oil seperator. They are going to phone me back this week to tell me if it is covered by the warranty. Does any one know if it is covered or how much it is going to roughly cost.

The oil separator itself isn't too expensive (£65-ish), but if an OPC do it they insist on taking the engine out to do the job. That's 7-8 hours @ £110?/hr.

I would have thought it was covered by the warranty, but if not, find yourself a decent indy.

If its the oil separator it will be covered by the warranty, mine was on my previous car, saved me in region of £700 I recall[;)]

Chiswick opc were supposed to phone me today to confirming if is a warranty issues but never did.[] I am due a major service next month and this will swing it as to whether I go to an indy or not.
