Tequipment outdoor cover problems??

I've just taken the Tequipment out door cover off my boxster to discover a whole load of damage to the paint work on the top of the front and rear wings where the covers seems are. Has anyone else had a similar experience of this?
It's a genuine Porsche supplied cover which I've had as long as the car however this week was the first time that it has been used due to me having to repair my garage roof.
Feedback would be appreciated, I was going to go back to porsche but I don't have the receipt as my wife bought it as a treat, do you think it will be a case of the old shrug of the shoulders and we'll see you in the body shop next week sir?

its worth speaking to them, but proving damage was the cover would be difficult, im not a fan of covers - especially outdoor ones, its far to easy to get dirt or even dust caught between the cover and the paint and with wind moving covers around, it just ends up scraping the paint, the car needs to washed and they perfectly dry before fitting a perfectly clean cover, which is difficult in its self to put a large cover on making sure it doesnt touch the ground etc,

if you have marks in the paint that are along a seam line and look as such then you have a chance - will they polish out, maybe have more success getting them to prep your paint, but if its really bad and needs re-painting then that would be difficult to prove, post some photos up ?

cheers
scott.
