Test pics of the GTS lights.

The light was just sitting there not having been installed yet, but we took a few pics with the new nose panel in there. Bit of a retro look. The finish on the lights is very good.

They look very nice but not sure if I would fit them to my car as I really like cars with pop up lights. Are they the Deutsche Nine ones?

Karl, Jon, yes these are the Deutsche 9 versions. They are much better than anything on the market from my research. Obviously not a 'must do' but I always liked the look and you save something like 20kgs I believe, plus I am looking at utilising the extra space underbonnet to put in some ducting for the i/c and radiator. This will connect to a molded opening in a c/f hood somewhat like the one in the factory 968rs turbos.

I like them a lot and have been thinking about this mod a lot myself. Do you know if there is anyway to black out the plastic or does it have to remain clear?

They just exude menace....! A 944 has a menacing look anyway but this makes it even more so.... ! Just class [;)]

They look great Patrick, fingers crossed they produce a version for us with the older badge panels as mine are rather naff. I don't suppose you have a photo of it in place from above as I'd like to see how deep they are compared to mine.

I like the sound of you bonnet vent too, can't wait to see pics of how that turns out [:D]

+ the weight saved is right at the very front of the car just where you don't want 20 Kg. IMHO if it really is as much as 20 kg then the are worth doing for that alone as I would expect saving so much weight from the car in front of the front axle will make a big difference to the handling (as would adding lightweight bumper, wings and bonnet).

I was under the impression it was something like an 8kg saving, but haven't the foggiest where that figure came into my mind from - I certainly haven't been able to weigh my leftovers yet, but if it's anything approaching 20 kg I'll be delighted (I want to save circa 30kg to offset the weight of the SC [;)]).

20kg is a bag of cement - how on earth does the motor, linkages etc. add up to 20kg?

They do look good - but 580 euros ... flippin eck!

13.5kgs weight saving according to Deustchnine website, which seems worthwhile.

8kg is close to 20lb - possible source of confusion there?

I think it looks great too, but for some reason I thought your car was red, Partick.

Partick to Fin. Me Grey car have red not.[:D]
I'm sure you're correct re the lbs not kgs. That's what you get from flitting about all these different websites around the globe.
I'm also sure you could tint the lenses to make them darker. Beni has a picture of a Red car with what appear to be darker lenses.
Peter, there is talk of them doing a run for n/a vehicles (not sure about s/c cars though???[:)])

Thanks Patrick, that's a great help. They're quite a bit shorter than mine which is a relief as it'll make fitment more predictable (the ideal places for the aerocatches risks fouling my existing lights, so we can now see it'll be much less of a problem with these).

I can't see a problem with making them, more finding the time and enough demand to make it worthwhile that will prove the stumbling block. Still there's a lot of n/a cars out there in 944 land so I think this could be a market to tap into. The hitch being cost. The demographic of 944 owners would be more student than businessman if you get my drift so I guess they have to make the call. I think it would be a great addition to your car though Peter. Hope it happens.

Finished the installation today. We will attend to the bonnet that has not fit properly since the larger i/c and pipes. We should have more room now with the loss of the light mechanisms. I don't know how much light they throw but we can convert the bulbs to HIDs if needed.
