The carcoon came off today, checked the tyres, brakes, warmed her up and away we went.

Not the wolds, no just sainsburys and back approximately 25 miles but what fun.

Anybody else drive theirs today?

Regrettably not. Mine's in the doctors having its engine re-built and SSIs fitted pre-74 style. I'm promised it will make very nice noises when it comes home, which will be of couse a great help when engaging in our sworn duty of going out and entertaining the populace.

i am looking into doing this with my 1980. Who is doing it for you and where did you source the parts please. Any pictures would be good.

RPM in Cheddington, Herts. They're an independent Porsche specialist - run by a couple of ex-Martech guys.

I'm trusting them to source the parts. Currently the exhaust is most likely to be Dansk.

I took some "before" pics of the car up on the ramp on sat, but they're still in the camera. RPM will document the build etc as they go along. I'll post progress under a different thread to avoid this one going furhter off-topic!
