Thank you Stu.

I must thank Stu for his marvellous efforts over the past few years keeping the 968 family together. He has worked very hard to ensure the 968 model has been at the fore front of many events, the bringing together of so many 968's at Silverstone a few years ago being quite remarkable.

Enjoy your retirement from the RS role, you can spend more time polishing your car and enjoying it now. I hope we will see you and your car at many events throughout the coming months.

I "mirror" petes comments.
I first met Stu at a "Lakes run" MANY moons ago.
I was always made very welcome at all events. And i know how hard he worked to organise numerous meets + gatherings, culminating in the BIG gathering at Silverstone.
I know "we" havnt exactly seen eye to eye on a few things recently, but as far as im concerened its all "water under the bridge"...
I hope you have a happy "retirement"...[;)][:D][;)][:D]

retirement!! -- Stu does not know the meaning of the word (I know it though!)

you cannot keep a good man down & he'll be v busy on all manner of things -- there's a recession you know!

thanks chaps,

keeping the faith, just too much going on at the moment, Vicky is having more to do with the K300 stuff and I'm dealing more with new projects so I knew I just couldn't do the post justice for at least another year so it seemed only fair to release the role to somebody else who could carry it forward.
Paul is doing an excellent job with the articles so it's half way there already. I'm sure Peter will do the car/role justice for the superlative car that it is.

When I took over 6 years ago there were no real 968 meetings and then slowly but surely we managed to get the numbers up, BigDave being one of the first to start turning up, so that was 2 of us[;)], then we had 13 at an Oulton Park RS track day, then it was 20 at a Front Runner event and then it continued from there. Christmas meetings at Porsche Centre Wilmslow, lake district runs, Novice track sessions and trackdays at Donnington, Oulton, Rockingham, Bedford etc. etc. as you say culminating in 66 at Silverstone 2007. Personally for me that was one of those moments to be proud of, and then being recognised by the club for that was about as good as it gets.

As you know I am still active with another 968 community so haven't lost the faith just can't give the club register the time it deserves.

Peter I am still the moderator on this forum, let me know if you would like to take it over, or you have somebody else in mind for it.

Stuart.
PS. thanks for the wave on the M6.
