Thank you

Well i suggest people come to the Lincs tour next year and see for themselves
I'd love to. For me the issue is that all the events are grouped too closely together, and personally at my busy time of the year. With Silverstone on Monday, then next Sunday, then Porsche and Polo, plus Region stuff, it's too much. We've moved Frontrunner to October for that reason, more events like yours outside the main season would be great for me and well worth the trip. Well done for organising it.

Today the R4 region sucessfully hosted the Lincs Wolds Gantspeed Rally.

Please may i thank the following people for their coordination and organistion to make the day so good

Richard Watkinson
Pam Watkinson
Cliff Doe
Julie Doe
and Paul Leggett.

Also may i say thank you to Jean for being my co pilot for the day.

Well done Lincolnshire

I have to say that the roads and the route were far better than the Cotswold Rally in my opinion.

Looking forward to next year.

ORIGINAL: Elliot Well done Lincolnshire I have to say that the roads and the route were far better than the Cotswold Rally.
How would you know? You were invited to the Cotswold Rally with a free entry. You accepted but, without letting me know, you failed to turn up. Not counting rally plates and glass trophy, you cost your club £24. Entry to Gaydon (£12) and Picnic lunch (£12). When you have organised eleven events with different routes you may be in a position to make comment. Geoff Ives

Bloody hell all i meant was that the road section was superb. Geoff I was made redundant the week of the cotswold rally so i could not even justify the cost of fuel to come to the event. If you would like the £24 then why did you not contact me and i would have gladly of paid for it. By the way you were also invited to take part in the r4 rally for free in return and you did not attend so please do not air your greivances on a public forum without talking to me personally beforehand. Why dont tou ask the club chairman and chris clark what they thought to the rally as they attended. No more to say and to be honest the important part about this topic was to thank the organisers who provided the members of the club with more choice and a different event location.

You should not belittle anothers event. No I did not attend. I had a family wedding yesterday but I did have the courtesy to inform your organisers two months ago that I would not be attending.

Once again thank you to the organisers and Gantspeed for sponsoring. Hope you can make it next year Geoff.

Elliot, On behalf of the R4 Team, thank you for your comments regarding the Lincolnshire Wolds Tour 2010 route. I'm pleased to report that we have had a very positive response on all the feed-back forms - where we had an 80% return from entrants. It is encouraging for us as new people on the Tour block so to speak, but 18 years in historic road rallying can bring some knowlege to bear and, as planned, the route certainly had a little twist in the tail in the second section. We may indeed be looking at a later date for 2011; there are many alternative events at this time of the year and the hedgerows are high and thick in places which obscured some of the opportunities for entrants to view the magnificent countryside. The hills were, as I expected, a major revelation to first timers in this part of England. The major team members discussed the possibilities of running a 2011 Tour over breakfast this morning and have noted some points of research which are required for the initial planning. Watch this and other spaces over the coming months. Cliff Doe Clerk of the Course Lincolnshire Wolds Tour 2010
