I made a mess of my account trying to change my email address, then I couldn't get back on and thought I would have to re-register as a new user, however Paul sorted my mess out.

If it int broke don't fix it

Many thanks Paul

Cheers

Bloody hell Paul you should have blocked him

I did consider it, whilst trying to get his three IDs matching the right email address! [&:]

Seriously, it's a pleasure to help on the forum, as it is pretty simple to do but so important for so many people. Long may it continue. [:)]

Gosh, I thought Frenhcy meant you should have blocked me! [;)]

It's good that it's a pleasure to help on this forum. It is, without peer, the friendliest internet forum I know of and it's a pleasure to be a member. Thanks to Mr McNulty (ahem!) and all the rest who make it possible.

Oli.

Yeah, and would you believe that that was the third attempt at typing it too!

My computer should be fitted with a breathalyser ... red wine and forum posting don't mix.

Oli.

P.S. How long is my ban for? How does it work? It doesn't seem very effective at the moment. Or is it a "gentleman's agreement"-type ban whereby I promise not to post anything for a day or so?

That should be pinned to the front page, but it would spoil so much fun!

White wine is ok, in my expriensh. [&:]

Only my doctor and bank manager call me Mr McNulty, so it's quite nice occasionally! [&:]

I know a certain person who called you everything but Mr McNulty when you stood up to him as a member on the forum not so long OK[;)]

Keep up the good work both in your official capacity as Forum admin and member with a backbone![:D][:D]

I can still spell even after red or white wine-what I can't cope with is Mr McNulty -Sir,[&o] seeming to have a sense of humour

Is this the new rear wiper delete thread ? [:D]
Given it started off concerning neither rear wipers nor their removal, I'd say almost certainly yes. We all know how good (or otherwise) this forum is at keeping on topic, and given time this thread could end up being about the state of Syria, where MH370 may be found, quantum mechanics, the sex life of weevils, the role of the ephod in the Old Testament sacrificial system or good recipes for kimchi.

Oli.

the role of the ephod in the Old Testament sacrificial system

Do you mean as an article of clothing, or the older meaning as an idol or image? [8|]

Gizzy Erskine has a nice recipe for Kimchi. [:)]
