Hi Guys

Last week I was at the Nurburgring with my wife for our first visit and to do a few laps of the north circuit.

We met this bunch of guys from your Region and I saw that one guy had a PCGB polo shirt on. He was driving a Speed Yellow 968 CS and the others were in Caterhams.

Gerald was driving the 968 and we got chatting. Really nice guy and so interesting to. I had done a couple of laps of the ring and Gerald then offered to take me round as a passenger. Jeeeeezzzzzz!!!!!! I never thought I would get out alive he was so on the edge! What a driver and what an experience!

The following day we had completed our laps in our 997 when Gerald offered to take me round again. Very nice of him but being the unselfish man I am I suggested that my wife would love to go round. After all, we share most things and sharing a white knuckle ride would be very generous of me [:D]. I thought she might have killed me when she got out but she actually enjoyed it too. She daren't speak for the 14 mile circuit in case she distracted Gerald, but she has made up for it since!

I have attached a picture of Gerald about to enter the ring with Ann Marie sat alongside. Our car is just behind.

If anyone here can pass on our thanks and appreciation to Gerald I would be very grateful. Who knows - we may see him again when we go next year!
