This is just a thank you post to the guys who helped out with info when my gearbox went pop (Peter Empson). Car was all back up and running when two days later a big whole appeared in the side wall of my new Goodyear F1. Any way another £120 later the cars back up and running again, but wheel bearing doesn’t sound good. I am used to driving old cars but so far I have covered 200 miles in 4 weeks and its cost me £250. It’s not like it was the cheapest car about, I think I paid about top money for a Lux. I still have a list of to do’s. New stereo. Front spoiler needs a small repair. A back box that doesn’t deafen me. Sort a new indicator switch out. New trim panel above glove box. Etc etc etc.
