Yes. Huge thanks to Chris for taking over the task of organizing the display when I unfortunately couldn't make it to Silverstone due to illness. I owe you a beer or two when I next meet up with you. Thanks also to Des for all the phone calls and words of support on Thursday and across the weekend. ...and for organizing the Fearnsport visit - sorry I couldn't be there. My temperature has finally dropped after staying at around 40degrees since Wednesday afternoon and I'm seeing a specialist this week to see what's wrong with my kidneys so hopefully will be 100% again soon. Thanks again Chris, Des and all the guys for making it a great display - wish I was there...

Thanks Chris for organisisng the cars on all three days, by the time I came down in the Dub it was all lined up. As ususal nicely rainbowed. Hopefully next time we can have our own Tent/Van/Gazebo/Awning to shelter from the Sun and as a focal point for members and visitors. I appreciate it was not our call on the back of the Classic. Howver the banter, cold beer drinking and usual bullshit was maintained to the usual 964RS High Standards, despite trying to get to bed by 10.00pm with my Horlicks, there was a relay of members popping by ... cold box exhausted think I made it to bed at 2.30AM thanks Paul (964RS) .... I would just mention and also thank tyhe obvious hard work that was put in behind the scenes for the Club Parking/Displays by all the Directors and Helpers, who seemed to keep the whole weekend flowing, Barry Smith should now be called Barry Sheen, the amount of mileage he covered on the "club" motorbike!

The racing fantastic, was parked right on the action with the Van beside the Rolls Royces on the Complex curves, fantastic with parasol up and yes .. even more cold beers! The van attracted a lot of sentimental attention ......

Anyway thanks to all again, Helpers, Workers, Organisors, RO, RS, Directors, and another Well Done Chris Whittle .....

And not mention the prepatory groundwork by Rich Claridge, sorry you could not male it Rich ... I guess polishing your RS on a 40c Thursday is not the best thing to do mate! Get well soon Rich you were missed....[;)]

Sorry to underestimate your illness mate, thought it was a bad case of polish measels! That as in Polanski!

I have just spoken to a Polish Doctor who has recommended this ... [:D][:D][:D]:ROFLMAO:[sm=kiss.gif] Apparently 6 thick pad fulls but not to be taken in direct Sun Light, and it is Rich so take it gently .....[;)]

Suppose it is Polish Spirit .... hope you still have a sense of humour or has the Nurse declined your bed bath!!

Well done Chris Leslie Whittle! You did manage to sneak a 993 RS in which was welcome - just needed to get the minty überwagen in too! I spent all Sunday looking skyward for slick Melv to no avail and got my face sunburnt for my troubles. Was he banned from bringing the plane to the stand? Im still crying after seeing 2 x 2.7 RS Tourings sell at the auction for £60k and £78k. I cried into my Fosters with Des.

from what i saw of those two RS's , a bit of aftersales work is going to be needed. Which may well account for the price. Oh and don't forget the auction houses premium that goes on top of the "sticker price"

Cheap as you say Paul but black one apparently re-shelled using an SC shell; other one considerably better with work to do.......this from the DDK mob. Glad to hear everybody had a good weekend, shame I couldn't make it this year. Get well Rich.

Well ... I'm now back from a couple of days working away --- and can only say thanks, and most welcome for the little I did. Everything was sorted by you Rich, we had been given the most wonderful pitch, the cars just turned up with their drivers (how did you pull so many of us out of the woodwork ?) --- and the weather was superb (I have a sunburnt and rather sore lower lip !!) On the Friday the first person there was Stuart Speed in his fantastic Minty Clubbie, so, he actually showed me the way.... Stuart, stand forward. I'll post some piccies shortly, but the event was a real credit to the 964RS group. What a shed load of nut cases we are !! Paul, Melv was there with his plane --- you obviously weren't looking at the right bit of sky.
