That clip ... the one in the heater system ....

Chaps,

I think that clip in the heater system has broken on my S2. You know the one - the one that fails and makes the heater run full hot all the time, leading to your face and legs becoming hotter than molten lava meaning that on a summers day you have to drive everywhere with the windows open and the sunroof out, drinking a cold G&T and wearing nothing but a mankini*.

Would someone be a darling and post the part number up here? Thanks everso. Is an OPC the best place to get one? How hard are they to fit? Someone had a terribly helpful photo of the offending item in situ - if they could post that as well I'd be mightily grateful.

Thanks,

Oli.

* - Some or all of this may not be true. Requests for Karen Danczuk-esque signed photos of me in a mankini will not be responded to positively. OK?

There is the plastic clip then a metal clip that goes over the plastic
check by build thread has pictures on there

Many thanks chaps. That's the badger. To my slight surprise my OPC didn't have any in stock (I'd have expected something like this to be common across lots of models and hence held in stock, despite the 944 part number) but I have ordered 3 and will collect them next week.

In the meantime I've repaired the old one with a small smear of araldite, which seems to have done such a good job I'm wondering about cancelling the OPC order!

Oli.
