Range topping Porsche Cayenne Turbo S revealed
Porsche's new £107,460 SUV has 50bhp more than the already potent 500bhp Cayenne Turbo

Cayenne Turbo S will cost £107,460

Porsche has ramped up the performance of its second-generation Cayenne with the introduction of a potent new Turbo S model that is claimed to storm from 0-62mph in just 4.5sec and hit a top speed of 176mph.

Set for UK sale from next January priced from £107,460, the new Cayenne range topper runs lightly modified version of the standard Turbo's blown 4.8-litre V8 engine "" the same unit used by the Panamera Turbo S. Changes include a more free flowing inlet manifold for improved breathing, increased turbocharger boost pressure and remapped electronics among other detailed tweaks.

Power climbs by 50bhp over the Turbo to 550bhp, making the new Turbo S the most powerful Cayenne model yet. Torque also increases by 37lb ft to 553lb ft. The added reserves bring a 0.2sec reduction in the 0-62mph time and an added 3mph at the top end without any detriment in combined cycle fuel consumption or average CO2 emission which remain 24.6mpg and 270g/km respectively, according to Porsche's official figures.

The four-wheel drive Cayenne Turbo S adopts the same chassis configuration as the Cayenne Turbo with an air suspension and Porsche's active damping control along with hydraulically operated roll bars to rein in body roll and a torque vectoring system together with an electronically controlled rear differential lock.

A series of subtle exterior styling changes, including a black high gloss treatment for the headlamp housings and exterior mirror housing and uniquely styled 21-inch wheels, help signal the Cayenne Turbo S's added performance potential. Inside, there are standard carbon trims and a new leather upholstery package

There is a December 2009 cayenne turbo with 25k miles for £46k on the Porsche approved site right now.

The petrol turbo is, dare I say an anachronism in the UK in 2012, let alone 2015. The new Diesel S will be worth far more in 3 years time. Neither will be worth £60k on trade in though.

Would love to have a go in one though!People in the market for a car like that are lucky enough to not have to think about residuals lucky so and so's!!
I bet it DRINKS V power!!

My 2009 Turbo S also has 550 BHP a little bit heavier than the new style so its 4.5 to 60mph instead of my 4.6 seconds, it also has all the bells and whistles but gets 20mpg real world not the 24 mpg on the combined as stated.
I can tell you exactly how much a 3 year old Turbo S is valued at which also had a £105K sticker price when new, I bought for 52K a year ago and just had it valued against Porsche and BMWs and both offering £33K.
Best 4x4 on the road and with the correct tyres off it aswell.

Paul

By the way its VERY quick and doesn't need V power, maybe half a tank per month just so I can have it VERY VERY quick
I think half the value is in the carbon fibred engine trims but it does make lifting the bonnet a treat.
