The Club web site

Following the very informative Workers' Seminar on Sunday we now have a working mechanism to add a limited amount of information and pictures to the 964 Register section of the main PCGB web site. As it stands at the moment the main welcome page for the Register is only a single page - although I might extend it outside of the PCGB site at a later date - and the Gallery is available for suitable pictures. As a first pass I've put a few group pictures in the gallery - OK, I know my car is in most of them!!

Ultimately I would like to extend the main page to a more detailed menu page with selections for Technical Articles, FAQs, article reprints etc. etc. I'm open to all sorts of ideas. I'm also looking for pictures to add to the gallery although bear in mind I need a decent description of each picture.

One small point which is likely to trip everybody up is that when you go to the main site (www.porscheclubgb.com) and select the Register you will only see the Gallery. There is nothing to tell you that you have to log in first via the Member Login before you see anything else.

All contributions considered - please e-mail me at 964@porscheclubgb.com.

Regards

Dave

My thoughts are that if the main club website is supposed to be a shop window to attract members to join the club (or even buy their first Porsche), then there should be no need for you to be a member to browse the site.

Surely the only time that you need to login would be when you want enter the 'members' section of the site?
