Golden Jubilee Cotswold Rally

This is the first announcement of this year's event. The date is Sunday 17th April and the starting venue Cornbury House.

I would like to introduce our sponsor, Heritage Insurance is with us for a second year and as anyone attending last years event will tell you, their enthusiasm is amazing.

This year we go to Blenheim Palace for ourr our midway stopping point and we will be using two different routes allowing us to increase the number of cars in this, our Golden Jubilee year without swamping the small communities that we pass through As you will know we have used this venue twice before. There are facilities for you to eat the picnic provided in comfort or enjoy food in the park or use the garden café or courtyard snack bar. The price includes admission for you, your car and passenger to Blenheim Palace Park and Pleasure gardens. Transfer to the interior of the Palace and formal gardens is not included but can be purchased on the day.

For new members. This is a social rally with no time element. It can be viewed as a fun event in it's own right or a taster for more ambitious event in the future. certificate. It is run under a "˜Motorsport Association Certificate of Exemption for a Touring Assembly'. We value the participation of families and there is a special award for "˜The Family Porsche' as well as "˜The car of the event', "˜The Classic Car', "˜Special Award' and "˜Register Award'. No skill is required and any standard Porsche, even a GT3, will be suitable. No special preparation is required.

What do I get? As usual each car is supplied with Tulip route maps, a rally plate, windscreen sticker, enamel pin badge and a good quality picnic for two people. Entry to the stopover venue is also included . There will also be a special commemorative give to the first 100 entrants.

Please note that this event is limited to a Maximum of 200 cars and you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.

What does it cost? The entry fee is £40 per car.

How do I book? You send a stamped addressed envelope to me, at
3 All Souls Cottages, Stanton Harcourt, Witney OX29 5RW.
I will then send you an application form which you fill in and return with a cheques made out to "˜PCGB Cotswold Rally'. You can request the form on email to r31@porscheclubgb.com but be aware that the forms are bulky and some firewalls reject them. This year we will be continuing "˜on line' booking on the Club website www.porscheclubgb.com

Club Health Warning. Cotswold Rallies are addictive and many entrants have stickers in their cars to prove it.

Our thanks to

Heritage Insurance for their sponsorship.
