Had a great day at Castle Combe on Thursday. You Turbo owners may want to turn the volume down as it may be a bit scary for you as there is lots of noise although not in the Scuderia class

Can highly recommend On Board Vision if you fancy recording a track day


John was going very well on the day.What was your best lapJohn. Mine was a 1.23 I expect you were in the high teens or low 20's

Your car must be fab at Castle Combe; I know the circuit well it is perfect for the GT3; on the C2S I always run to the top of 4th too quickly on the straight!

Very tidy driving too ana amazing video; loved watching your speed, lap position etc.

Hi Bob, sorry I haven't had time to look through the file yet (been away on the SW Drive immediately after the track day!) - certainly was a great day out at Castle Combe and I'd certainly join you in recommending the OBV kit and also the service Dario provides as it really adds to the whole track day experience. I have to say that I thought your GT3 looked stunning - not too many around in blue but it really suits it and your spec shows it off really well.
 
You were flying John with great consistency on the laps and so I am sure your video will be good. My guess is your best lap will be in the high teens. I was really early on the brakes and late on the throttle as I didnt want to make a fool of myself on my first track day in the new car. I would also be interested to know what your V Max was before breaking for Avon Rise. I was at 130. I am sure if I was a bit more agressive through Camp this could easily be 135+
 
Hi Bob, thanks for the kind comments but I really don't think there was much at all in it and I'd be very surprised if I made the teens. I still haven't had a chance to look through the data from last week (too much time spent having fun in the SW!) but I will have a look - unfortunately I knocked the power plug at the start of the afternoon so I'm missing some of the sessions but I'll get back to you with what I have. I'm doing another Castle Combe this coming Friday with Motorsport Events so hopefully I'll be able to remember some of the things I picked up from Dario's video!
