The end...

Just traded my little black boxster this weekend. 3 years of faultless driving...well on its part anyway ;-). Still the best car I've ever owned and will hopefully provide the same for the new owner. A real gem.

The reason? Too many borderline/picky pulls by the Plod culminating in the number plate spacing debacle just makes it too much of a target. Does anyone else feel the same?

So this is me signing off just for a couple of years at least to cool down (don't tell the missus that!), happy plod-free motoring to you all...

PS : Saw a new 997 turbo in black followed swiftly by an equivalent C4S in silver near Muirhead on Saturday afternoon. Nice...

cheers,

Iain

must just be up your way - maybe move west instead [;)]

I've only been pulled once by the plod in all my years motoring and lets just say it was a fair cop - and even fairer that they let me go with a warning [:D]

Seem's ..a bit drastic..can you not just slow down [:D] have to say, I don't want to tempt fait ,but I have been driving for over 40 years and 14 of those in a Porsche and never had hassle from the law not even a warning ,I am sure you will be back before to long.

I get more depressed with every day that passes on this topic, as it seems virtually impossible to drive with any vigour these days. If it isn't cameras and the like, it is that every road is clogged with little mice in nice little Nissan Micras doing 48 mph, who shake their little mousy fists at you and shriek in terror if you overtake. The world's gone mad.

[]

Probably tempting fate but never been pulled in a Porsche (so to speak[;)]) & Ive got dead dodgy plates. Get back in there John & dont let them wear u down

Where are all the police you speak of ????-there is just too muchroad for them to cover..I have seen them on the A96 and have been followed, but just played along and got back to enjoying the driving once they have left my rear view. I'm planning to organise a drive up to Aviemore via the whisky trail. Its quite a drive...any interest
