Having heard so many good things about the Motorist, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6JE, but sadly unable to attend either the Transaxle day or the Yorkshire Festival (since both were hosted on a Saturday), I've decided it's high time I explored what they have to offer myself. Consequently I wanted to gauge if there was much interest if any in anyone meeting up there primarily for breakfast, a cuppa or just a tyre kick from 10am on Sunday the 30th October at this venue.
Please note this is a free to attend informal meet, as such there will be no official club presence or any scheduled meeting times, unless anyone else wants to organise them, if so please feel free to add to this thread. Deb & I are aiming to be on site from around 10am as we will be in the vicinity, hence the reason for our visit and the thinking behind this post.
I have already spoken with the team at the Motorist who tell me, that the 30th October meet is scheduled to be a Bentley themed meet, so there’s sure to be some pretty exotic cars of interest on display that day. Despite this the organisers have kindly offered PCGB members our own designated Club parking area, obviously this depends on attendance and a heads up regarding idea of numbers prior to attending.
Unfortunately I'm not sure how busy these meets normally are, being my first visit, perhaps anyone who's already been to one of their coffee and cars meets could advise better, however the organisers reassure me they can cope regardless, that said I would still suggest if you are thinking about popping along to chew the fat for a few hours and want to eat it may be wise to pre-book a table.
If you are interested in attending this free informal meet, regardless of what model Porsche you drive, why not add your name to this thread, everyone’s welcome the more the merrier as they say.
