The new 2007MY Boxster pages are up at Porsche.com

Strange that isn't it [:D]
After all - with less metal being used in a bigger engine, you'd think they would be cheaper [;)]

Look on the bright side, at least the new Boxster S, a purpose built cabriolet, with a 3.4 litre engine and all of the mechanical bits to make the roof move etc. is cheaper than a Cayman S with an identical engine.

Looks like some sort of clever marketing ploy by Porsche AG. Beats me, but there again, virtually everything does nowadays. I am getting more and more like a grumpy old man [:(].

New upgraded 2.7 and 3.4 engines.

ORIGINAL: JCB..

I notice the prices are too. [;)]

Yes but JCB & MB still a bargain compared to the similar specced hatchback version [:D]

...and some £21K less than a Cabriolet which is only 0.2 sec faster on 0-62 and gives you two small extra seats. [;)]

As a boxster owner, I'm still mildly impressed at how Porsche have got away with this boxster cab and coupe marketing stunt [;)]. This month's Porsche Post reports that in the first 5 months of 2006, Porsche have produced a combined total of boxsters and caymans that is way up on the number of boxsters they produced in the same period of 2005. And that the number of Caymans produced is larger than the number of boxsters[&:]. Therefore the Porsche strategey is working and they are quids in!
