The official R18 Oulton Park 2013 track day thread starts here.

On October 23rd, Porsche Club GB takes over the full Oulton Park International Circuit for what will be the best track day of the year (apart from the Anglesey one we all enjoyed, obviously).

For just £200 (and some petrol), bookable directly with Steve Kevlin at Porsche Club HQ on 01608 652917 you will get the opportunity to drive your Porsche how its makers intended.

For novices, there can be no safer track day environment than amongst the company of your fellow club members in small numbers. The event is preceded by a detailed safety briefing, sighting laps behind an instructor leading pace car and expert personal tuition is available on the day at modest cost (typically £20 for 20 minutes or so). You will learn more in that 20 minutes about yourself, the track and your car than you would have thought humanly possible.

Oulton Park is rightly regarded as one of the finest circuits in the country, set amongst the rolling Cheshire countryside it is only 50 minutes or so from Preston. If you have ever thought about going on a track day or enjoyed yourself at Anglesey and fancy another go, this is the best and final opportunity you will get all year!

I've booked and will be bringing Dean along. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible.

Over to you zeb... [:D]

Team Mangetout... Livin' the dream!

you will learn that the white cars are pretty slow and hold up the blue ones

over to you jamie

Team Mangetout....bonjour man

I've done that at oulton park i'll have you know.....albeit it was 20 years ago in a MK2 Escort [:D]

It might not have been your fault directly. But...

You must have given that poor girl the Sheffield gene. [:D]

Is there a concours competition on the day? If so someone had better tell Hassan to get polishing whatever one he decides to bring.

Cheers,

Says the man with 9 vehicles in his forum signature!

You should enter your Boxster, you'd enjoy it.

Thanks for pointing that out,Rob-Fred in a "modern" car -whatever next-Fred the PDK man-up the creek without a paddle but plenty of buttons[:)].

Will be at Oulton Park but doubt if I will be on track apart from the PAX laps U R going to offer me![&o]

Sure you can squeeze in half a day in the mighty 924S.

I've heard someone has already been tasked to rake the gravel really neatly and evenly ready for your arrival [;)]

Hello Rob,

Oulton park is pencilled in but not driving on track. (I may be taking one of the other nine on a mini tour of Britain's good biking roads. Did the Scotland section last year and it was a brilliant five days).

Cheers,

Just send the trophy directly to 'Hat-trick-Hassan' it will save the rest of us the trouble....[:D][;)]

Colin- hope youre driving on the day....wont be the same with R18's very own stirling moss [;)]

Surely there's an "out" missing -a rolling moss gathers no gravel--work that out Hattrick Hassan![;)]
