The ongoing GT2 v GT-R

I am amazed the GT-R has won anything given all the owners experiences with voided warranties and tyres being shredded after only a couple laps of a track!

I guess it depends what you want from your fast car. In my Scooby owning days I had mine remapped by a chap from Scotland who drag races his Scoob. I believe he curently holds a few records and his road legal car does 0-130mph in something like 6 secs and 1/4 mile well under 10secs. Would I want one - no! Would I want a GT-R - no! If I had £130k to blow on a GT2 would I want one - you betcha! With due apologies to the good folk of east England I believe the expression that sums up the GT-R is "you can take the car out of Essex but......." -you know the rest. But we're all biased anyway.... anyone own both?!

I think the article in EVO this month did sum up how clinical the GT-R is, however with stunning results..
As is the way with Jurno's, sometimes it wins because its a crazy car then other times it loses.. [&:]

Looking at the interior alone of the GT-R, I'm happy with the place I'm in.

Just because it's faster doesn't necessarily make it more fun. A lot of manufacturers have missed that point.

Thankfully Porsche still cares about driver involvement and feedback which is where you can have fun at any speed pretty much.

The Nissan will appeal to the current Xbox brigade and those who want the fastest - wait until the Tuners get their hands on them.....

I'll echo a previous comment - if someone gave me a GTR as a company car I'd be happy. But if it was my money I'd have the Porsche.[:D]
