The North West 100 is social run of approximately 100 miles in the north west of our region and a little bit of Lancashire, through some of the best Dales scenery. This year there will be the option of short or long routes following custom Google Maps, a formula that has worked very well for R7. Both driver and passenger can enjoy the scenery.
This is a day to enjoy a great time with fellow members in superb scenery and ending with a gathering for food at a lovely location.
As a social run there are no time limits nor compulsion to follow the suggested routes so participants can explore places of particular interest. Both routes will converge at Bridge House Farm Tearooms, Wray with Botton.
Last years run used Bridge House Farm as a tea/coffee halt and everyone raved about the place and what they did for us. Most people would have been happy to stay longer but a good number had booked a meal at the end of the run at The Yorkshire Smoke House.
In addition to the excellent food and drink in the tea rooms, Bridge House Tea Rooms had a marquee with ample seating and tables where BBQ food and a bar were laid on for us. They have a large grassed area where exclusive parking in an arc was arranged and well marshalled by them. They also presented a Sunday Lunch voucher to a lucky couple who by good fortune had parked on a particular spot. A great time was had by all and many participants were reluctant to leave, hence the revised format this year. We will have plenty of time to enjoy the faculties which include a small garden centre and enjoy the food and drinks on offer. They host many classic car and motorcycle club events and PCGB members are very welcome there.
People can leave whenever they like. Routes towards the Leeds area will be provided.
