After months of looking I've finally bought a Porsche 964 Carrera RS and it's safely tucked away in the garage.

Yes, I've finally persuaded Des to part with his much loved Grand Prix White RS.
I've had it for a few days now and I haven't stopped grinning - still haven't pushed it too far, I know it's going to be a steep but fun learning curve.

I picked it up and on the way out of London some yoof must have graffitied me at the traffic lights. Still, a little T-Cut and a lot of elbow grease and I soon removed the marker pen and had the engine lid all pristine again. [:D]

Thanks to everyone who has offered me advice during my long search, and especially to Des for entrusting me with custody of the Butzi Porsche.

Cheers guys and looking forward to putting some faces to names,
Rich

P.S. Des is dying to show you all his GT3 at North Weald!!! [;)][/size]

Rich, congratulations on your new car, it does drive well [:)]

Don't forget....no more details on Des's new car, I think he is finding it hard to come to terms with his move to the dark side as it is []

Yes, But is that not Des' signature on the rear so it could be returned to sender at some later date?

He's gone and done it! Yes, that's both you, Rich, and Des. Congrats on the new car, Rich. It's a gem and I am pleased to see you managed to get the grafetti off. I just hope you don't use those headlight covers.........

So, Des, have you bought one of the 2 cars you mentioned to me. I think people will be rather suprised. After all you have said, I never thought you would do it[;)][:D]

come on Dessie text or phone me the details!!!!!!!!!

Why can't he just post them here? Has he become a secret agent or something and his car is so rediculously special it needs to be a state secret????

Come on Des, what you got and is it going to hammer the lardy routemeisters[;)]

Des....thought I caught a glimps of you yesterday in your new sausage.

Are you planning to fit the mk 2 spoiler as suggested? Not sure I like Zinzibar so pleased you went with yellow.

hint..... look at Dessie's avatar

Nice - is it a clubsport or 3.8, pic is quite small, and is it mint green or is that just the light reflection....looking good though!

Des

A great weight off my mind. I was finding it so hard not to drop more hints. I hope you get as much or even more pleasure from your new toy!

Des,

Just managed to log in from the back end of nowhere in Burgundy, France. Very pleased to here the car got to you safely. Looking forward to seeing it in for real very soon,

Rich

I thought he was going to buried in it after the song and dance we had after he got it back last year:rolleyes:

Judging by the amount of sand and gravel falling out of it and onto my garage floor I reckon he's already tried burying himself in it. [;)]
