The Sly Fox

After a few months slaving away in my single house garage I finally can enjoy the fruits of my hard labour . Stripped the front end down had the front bumper , light lids and front panel resprayed , fitted the new lower spoiler , new lights and indicators . Top end engine overhaul with a few trick bits seems to all gel very nicely , have been out in the evening running the 944 in gently up and down my local M66 when un expectantly at around 23.00 came across a fresh road kill lying in the middle of a 3 lane motorway and at a considerable cruising speed run over it square on just under the front number plate, unfortunately the dead Fox was the biggest Fox I have ever come across and struggled to go under the recently fitted new front spoiler , so I heard the impact and hoped for the best and feared the worst , lucky the spoiler withstood the impact but the bumper sustained some impact paint cracks ! O well I still think I got of lightly and again just goes to show even on a clear evening Motorway there are unforeseen dangers lurking , the sly Fox !

Wow, that's looking great.
Sorry to hear about the bumper, but as you say is sounds as if you got away with it quite lightly.

Wow J after all that hard work anyway I think I will arrange to come over and have a look see at the car now must admit it is a lot different to when I last saw it I will give you a call and arrange a trip over soon .

Watch out for any other sly foxes [;)]

That is a VERY nice looking car.

Forgive me if this has been discussed previously, but does your car have a US front bumper? I ask because on your avatar it appears the car has the extra reflectors as per a US car.

Very nice work J [:)] It's just typical that after all that effort something contrives to throw itself in your path anf try to undone all the hard work.

How does the engine feel with the rebuilt head and what head gasket did you use when it went back together?

Cheers mate , I am based in Bury Lancs. near the M66 may local evening test track ! I blame it on the Goverment banning the Hunts ! The Foxes are getting really big ! O well , need brighter lights !

Yes it's a LHD Californian Import with full US Spec , Not to sure about the new rear end reflector ? It lights up on the side lights , feedback welcome thanks best regards J

Since you asked, if I'm honest I'm not that keen on the reflector, the turbo script is just a little too much, although I've often wondered what they'd look like painted body colour [&:]. Rest of car is spot on though [:D]

Erm, tempting, I think it suits our cars much better than the ESS equivalent. Anybody else got one of these that fancies a swap???
