The smallest issue?

Finally took delivery of my C2S a few months ago after a 2 year wait. Absolutely great car and developments over the 991 are remarkable. There have been a few threads over time about various small changes (or perhaps more correctly 'omissions') to items that were on 991 models. One I have noticed and recently tried to sort out is the yellow/orange strap that was provided in the 991 to hold the front compartment cover in a raised position by attaching to the underside structure of the bonnet. My OPC found it was not listed as an original part for my car. They did order one for me which has arrived but it does not fit into the retaining lug on the cover. Looking closely the moulding on the cover is not compatible with the moulding on the strap (see picture). Looking on the vehicle identifiers on the strap indicates it is for all models up to 2022 and then a few in 2024. Searching for the strap on USA dealers websites confirms the part is not compatible with 2023 models but is with 2022 models. Have been unable to find one for 2023 model year. I might attempt to alter the strap to see whether it is possible for it to be secured back into the cover when not in use (cheaper than trying to alter the cover although I think it is the cover that changed for 2023 models). Wondered whether anyone else has come across this and resolved it. I used to find it helpful to be able to leave the cover up when accessing the battery, compressor etc. Now have to take the cover out which, should the need arise on the road, would be a pain.
