New Porsche Carrera 4S

I placed a deposit for this car 1st September, and it has now been confirmed it should be delivered end of March, Although I still do not have a built date [&o][&o]. I will be annoyed [] if it does not get delivered before the 1st April, regards the road tax increase. Presently, it is in a pre build stage, what ever that means.

I have just submitted the final spec, and have opted for the PDDC and the rear steering. Having listen to your views on this forum and also speaking to members of the 991 register during our drives and from my experience of th a Silverstone Porsche drive centre. I have also stuck to the white black colour combinations which i have had on my previous 3*991

Carrara White Metallic
Black leather interior
'PORSCHE' and '911' logo painted Exclusive
Black
Model designation on doors in black Exclusive
Bi-Xenon main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
ParkAssist (front and rear)
Electric slide/tilt glass sunroof
Privacy glass (rear side windows and rear window) Exclusive
Headlight cleaning system covers painted in contrasting exterior colour Exclusive
Satin Black
Door handles painted in black (high-gloss) Exclusive
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
Power steering Plus
Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC)
Rear-axle steering
Sport Chrono Package including mode switch
Sports exhaust system
20-inch Carrera S wheels
Wheels painted in satin black (complete) Exclusive
Cruise control
GT - Sport steering wheel
Sports seats Plus (4-way, electric)
Seat heating
Floor mats
Passenger footwell storage net
Rev counter dial face in black
Interior package leather (including door trim strip) Exclusive
Porsche Crest embossed on headrests Exclusive

I have not gone for the Bose sound system, as I do not appreciate the system presently fitted to my GTS.

Sounds fabulous. Congrats and I hope you get it on schedule. I ordered mine almost exactly a year ago and it was delivered 5 months later, 11th June to be exact. Very happy with it so far. My best ever 911

Hi Huw,

Looks a good spec. If you're asking for suggestions, I would add ventilated seats to your leather spec. It's surprising how much you will use his when available - not just in the summer, but refreshing on long journeys too, even in the depths of winter.

As regards VED at 204gm co2/km you pay £650 and £295 pa (pre April) and £1,200 and £450pa for 4 years, then standard rate (currently £140) thereafter, if my understanding is correct.

Hi Clive

A PDK Co2/KM for a Carrera4S is 180. The first yeR WILL BE £800 + for the following 5 years (£140 + £310 supplement (cars >£40K) =£450

If the car was registered prior to 1st April it will be £355 first year followed by £230 each other year. well worth getting it before 1st April.

Hi Sounds a very comprehensive spec.

Why the government cannot leave road tax alone whichever one is in they want to play around with things surely the best way is to abolish it altogether and put it on the fuel then higher consumption/ higher use will be paid accordingly

Also out of curiosity what is the final list price of the car with your extras?

Terry

I am afraid last Monday I changed my order to a 2GTS which made more sense than going ahead with the 4S which was due to be delivered end of March but not locked in.

Presently I have a 4GTS, waiting the additional couple of months for the GTS to arrive make sense (hopefully April/May). Although I have not gone for the 4GTS, but a 2GTS with the PDCC +20mm+RWS,PDK. I am glad I was able to transfer my existing order over to the GTS 😀🙏

That's a good choice Huw,👍 yours could be the first on the 991 Register, my replacement 911 is due in May and like you I switched to the GTS but it's the 4WD model.
