Hello All. Another year gone and here we are again, but with a new idea for this year's event. Whilst we dearly love Bentley and its surroundings, we (The Rotary Club) have decided to freshen the event by offering the car owners and the general public a chance to experience another venue, situated next to the A27 just outside Lewes in East Sussex. Middle Farm near Firle is perfectly placed to encourage passing motorists to come and enjoy your classic and sports cars and to experience the surroundings of Middle Farm.
Why the date change? As the years have gone by, summer events similar to ours have understandably sprung up around the County, therefore our exhibitors have had to make a choice. Rather than get into politics about who has been established for the longest, we felt a new date would solve the problem. We have chosen the 14th June as this seems to be a good time as most of our area is free of other similar events.
Our aim is as usual, to raise money for good causes. Last year we raised around £3,000. Again the monies have been shared amongst local good causes and the Air Ambulance is amongst them. WE are a very small club, but overall with all our events together still managed to donate between £10,000-£12,000 per annum.
As last year we are planning to advertise the show in "˜Classic & Sports Car' magazine which will encourage many more interesting vehicles to attend. 2015 EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
1. ALL EXHIBITERS AND VISITORS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY Middle Farm's TERMS OF USE FOR THE GROUNDS AND FACILITIES ""DETAILS OF WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED ON APPLICATION. THESE ARE PRIMARILY AIMED AT YOUR SAFETY.
2. OWNERS MUST ENSURE THAT ALL DRIVERS OF THE EXHIBITS ARE QUALIFIED IN LAW TO HANDLE THE CLASS OF VEHICLE INVOLVED.
3. NO VEHICLE IS TO BE LEFT RUNNING UNATTENDED.
4. WHEN STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE PARKED WITH THE HANDBRAKE APPLIED.
5. MOVEMENT AROUND THE GROUNDS IS NOT PERMITTED DURING THE SHOW UNLESS THE VEHICLE IS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE EVENT MARSHALLS.
6. ENTRANTS MUST PAY PROPER ATTENTION TO THE MARSHALLS INSTRUCTIONS WHEN MOVING THEIR VEHICLES.
7. A SPEED LIMIT OF 5MPH APPLIES ON THE GROUNDS AT ALL TIMES.
8. WHILST Middle Farm HAS ITS OWN PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE, ALL EXHIBITORS MUST BE INSURED BY A SUITABLE PUBLIC LIABILITY POLICY. THE POLICY MUST COVER PUBLIC LIABILITY IN RESPECT OF DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY AND THIRD PARTY PROPERTY DAMAGE, WITH A LIMIT OF ANY ONE ACCIDENT OF NOT LESS THAN £1,000,000.
9. Middle Farm & THE ROTARY CLUB OF LEWES BARBICAN WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSONS HOW SO EVER CAUSED.
