The time has come...

Well it's been 10 years or so since I took over the Register and I have had a great time running it.
But now it's time to let someone else have a go.
I have been privileged to meet some great people over the years and hopefully help them with their cars.

Robin Walker (Register Director) will be looking for a replacement so if you fancy a go then please feel free to contact him.
Stuart and Rich will continue as Assistants.

So, I'll still be around the Forum and am not leaving the Club.

Here's to the next 10 great 912 years.

[:(] ekk I am sorry to hear that Gavin as it's been so long that you have been at the helm that I just thought you would be there for ever more. I do hope there has not been too many brick walls of late that has made you think this way. [:(]

Well I want to say thank you for all your hard work the register has been a better place for it and your web site has been a format to follow due to it's excellent content and format.

Sure but I just got to get past this first

I will think about it but I am not sure how much they would like that. We should chat on the phone I think

Oh well, at least you can now get a car with a proper 6 pot engine[;)] (that's a poor joke . . . I am simply keeping up the tradition and slating the 912, a tradition that goes back to it's birth . . . It is in not the opinion of the author)

. . . seriously, sad to see you go, you gave out good karma.

Hopefully a willing enthusiast with the right motives and personality will step forward.

Phil slating 912's no really [:D][:D]

It's fair to say that the once very busy 912 section of this very forum has dropped to low numbers and that's a huge shame. Gavin has done I think an outstanding job to keep the 912 flag flying.

I don't think there are as many " Slating 912 " Sessions as there used to be and to be fair I certainly didn't know of many in the first place. Well only ones from 911T owners anyway :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: [;)]

Gav....its a sad day[:(] Meeting you and Stu at donnington about 6 years ago was the motivation to job the club, glad to hear you are not going far...see you at classic Le Mans?

been away in the big smoke with periodic web access so sorry for late reply...

Still around... love them cars tooo much.

Still going to do the Classic and as many other things as possible, strangely I think I will have more time to do the car thing now [;)]

and of course still looking in here and DDK.

Sorry to hear this Gavin.

I echo the sentiments of the others - your efforts have been greatly appreciated - you have really helped wave the '12 flag.

I understand your desire to spend more time with the car though.

Hope someone with the time, energy and resilience necessary will put themselves in the ring.

See ya soon

Thanks again for all the kind words, especially to Rick's nice write up in the PP this month.
See you all at CLM!
