IS YOUR DASH BECOMING TOO SMALL?

Useful accessories such as GPS, phones, camera spotters, performance meters, and the like, all add to your driving pleasure... But sometimes there just isn't enough room for you to see...

If you suffer from.. DWS - DIMINISHING WINDSCREEN SYNDROME.....

you need.....

UBERSCOPEN

WARNING: Use of UBERSCOPEN on the highway may invalidate your insurance and make you look like a Chav..

Careful John !

As co - moderator I have to warn you against blatantly merketing your own products [:D][:D][:D]

Can I get one in carbon?

That'll be the UBERSCOPEN RS it also comes with titanium roof claps and thinner mirrors.

We are also developing AEROUBERSCOPENMITSTICKYOUTBITS as a full racing derivative. This includes wind tunnel tested vanes which produce positive downward force and also clean up the air around the main optical shaft to reduce drag.

For next year we have UBERSCOPEN SPV. This allows the front seats to be fitted back to front for added crash protection. There is a slight design issue in this solution currently as cars have to be parked in converted gas storage tanks, hay stacks, barns and the like. We are also fighting interlectual rights issues with a Mr G Anderson on this product.

John, this post has made me think [&:]

I wonder if there is a PDA application anywhere which would allow people to run all their different gauges, and Sat nav and Camera detector software on one PDA.

I know there are standalone engine management applications for laptop PCs that can monitor, Boost, AFR, exhaust temp etc. It would be nice to have all this electronic trickery on one PDA attached to the A pillar, and you can just cycle through what you want to see - SatNav, boost, Scameras etc

If Rick hasn't got it then it doesn't exist. As far as I'm aware, Rick hasn't got it.........yet.[;)]

You can have camera locations as an overview (Places of Interest) on TomTom Navigator run on a PDA but I don't know of any virtual dash kits yet.

A Virtual Dash Kit (VDK) would be a cool product though - you could even have a bluetooth button on the steering wheel to cycle through the guages and an auto alarm function that brought up guages, or a warning, when readings are approaching defined limits.

Damn, I so want one of them now.

Don't worry I have a Sinclair Spectrum in the loft. I'll knock something up for you in time for Christmas.

(sorry if this takes away business for the 2ta periscope [:(])

Autometer are bringing out some new guages that datalog and change colour at preset limits - e.g. if your max boost is 18 and you set it to 18.5 then if you hit 18.5 it will illuminate red. These are controlled by a black box - the output from such a box could be made PDA friendly.
