The Usual Suspects...Spa

"The RS of Melvin was somewhat slower than our RS-Bale, and maintaining the specifications of the Cup, while ours is quite evolved." Solo hay que observar como apoya en Les Combes (levantando la rueda interior delantera) además de utilizar llantas BBS de 18" y slicks de mayor sección, fruto de su mayor potencia. You just have to see how supports Les Combes (lifting the inside front wheel) plus BBS rims 18 "slicks longest section, the result of their greater power."

Very nice report and pictures! Conveys the atmosphere very well!

Josep and his car were fast! Besides 18" wheels and slicks what else has been done to the car? Anyone knows? Does not go like a standard car, at all!

That car defo not standard -his report hints at such -'only' 300bhp but seems shedload of torque and considerable suspension mods/set-up -and well driven!![:D]

Also plastic bonnet, engine cover and Plexiglass windows.............

And yeh,I saw that too Charles!![;)]

Yes, well driven and no weight penalty--i.e. ballast in the passenger seat [:D][:D][:D]

Seriously, changing passenger this year from slim girls to full figure males induced off-track understeer in double-left, on two separate occasions.

Hi Phil

My RS is prepared by Fran Staedtler and friends Bale Motorsport, who also are responsible for the Car of Jeroen Bleekemolen Cup last year and René Rast and Bleekemolen this year's Team Al Faisal - Walter Lechner.

The RS is very fast .... but will be faster when finished.

A pleasure to shoot with you. The video behind you, then you'll like it.

Best regards

Josep

So, the only conclusion is that I was travellling in England during the Python incident. All those humour genes left were refreshed at a certain circuit in Belgium with certain company in 2009. Feels like I´m an alien here now....[;)]

Thanks Josep!

For ballast-induced understeer, on the video with my car, between 9:05 and 9:08, one will see the front end washing away at the entry of double left.

Very nice video Josep! It brings it all back [:)][:)][:)]
