There is no way you will consider a 996......

So said my wife this afternoon [:D]

We had just been for a drive to the shops, about 40 minutes away , the things I do when I am working from home!, and thought I would raise the issue of changing the car as she want me to get a tiptronic cabriolet. On the journey there I asked was the car too noisy (Fabspeed Maxflo's)? - No. Was the car too stiff (HD's & H&R springs)? - No. Did she like the interior? - Well it could be a bit more modern, but it is OK. She did however comment that she did not like the sensation of being thrown back into the seat under acceleration [:D][:D][:D]

When we arrived at or destination, luck would have it that there was a 996 in the car park. So drove up and parked beside it. It was at this point she exclaimed "there is no way you will consider a 996 because it is so boring in looks compared to the curves of the 993"

So the plan has worked and now phase two will shortly be put into operation when I will start to look for a cheap Boxster (tiptronic) as the daily hack [:D]

Saw the TT, but I promised that I would get a tiptronic and running costs should be lower [:D]

I have a strange hankering for a 928 GT auto... would make a great stablemate for the Targa.

Admittedly running costs not in quite the Boxster league, but they do sound great! (and IMO much better value than a Boxster)

Robert,

But if something goes wrong can be frighteningly expensive, saying that a nice cruiser.
