There's always something...

Well my new Alpine 6x4 speakers arrived yesterday so I installed them last night and clipped my newly resprayed grills over the top and they now look and sound much better - happy bunny!

Moved the car and went to turn the fan down as it had been on high with the good old aircon from my trip on Friday, and it came off in my hand...[8|]

Turns out that someone had 'repaired' it (in the loosest and worst sense of the word) previously by gluing it and all of the little plastic 'fingers' were broken inside.

Anyhow, a phonecall to Bolton OPC this morning, flashed the cash (well plastic), quoted the old PCGB number and I have a new one winging its way to me for a whole £6.40 inc the postage - sometimes just not worth buying s/h bits!

So, I'm not going to touch anything else in case I break it.....[:D]

At those prices may change all the little dials in the cabin.[:D]

Although maybe that is getting totally over the top

I had the exact same problem with my Lux. Porsch-apart sent me a brand new knob for four quid including postage. That sort of saving would really add up if you were refreshing a few switches etc at the same time.

I could do with one of those for the same reason! Do you happen to have the part number?

Part number from PET is 944 653 207 00, although when I rang Bolton OPC, they advised that that number had now been superseded - I think by a 968 number. They could identify the part from my number though.

Don't forget to ask for PCGB discount if you are a member!

I normally get lots of bits from Porsch-apart and Simon and the team are a great bunch to deal with...
