Thermostat install

New member
I just swapped out my old thermostat for a new one, the old was made in france by calorstat!!!.They are very different in size and the width of the seal on the old one is much thicker.Anyway the new one has a little bit of play between the Thermostat and the circlip, is this correct?
 
There isn't a mention of that on PET, the shim would stop the play though.

I have a bag of them here, can drop one in the post to you but it may not get to you until next week with all the holidays at the moment,

Thanks mate, would appreciate it.Funnily enough there wasn't one with the thermostat which was already installed although the seal is quite a lot thicker.
