I'm thinking of selling my car but worried about private sales. Any ideas the best thing to do with it??
I am sure that advertised through the club web site and pistonheads your address is not posted only a contact email and telephone number. As they say, "At the end of the day" a person will wish to view the vehicle. Hopefully you an weed out out most of the tyre kickers.Greg James said:Thanks for your reply's I'm worried about people knowing where the car lives. I sold a 944 had a lot of idiots so worried about people seeing the car and trying to seal it.
I have never tried this but maybe if you informed prospective buyers that there was a lot of interest and if they wished to view and they wanted to hold the vehicle they could place a refundable deposit.Greg James said:Thanks for your reply's I'm worried about people knowing where the car lives. I'll keep my thoughts to myself and of course, the OP's choice of selling medium is entirely up to him, but this thread could become quite lively now...Greg James said:This car is to good to drive to much. It really belongs in a collection. I would hate to see it not cared for its lasted to long in factory condition not to be kept that way. There are loads of other one that could be used but this one it would be a shame. I know you will all say it's a car and was made to be used! And that's true but there can only be a few in its condition so why not keep that few in that time warp?

How would you like to be consigned to an old folks home when you were in your mid thirties?
