Back from Autostrasse today, my 964 C2 Targa with the new 3rd Brake Light .

Will sit back and await your comments, I am sure there will be mixed emotions about having it fitted

Looks good Ken

I presume it doesn' t obstruct the spoiler or do you keep below 50mph these days ?[:D]

Hi Tony,

The spoiler works OK, The Brake Light is genuine Porsche so shouldn' t effect the down force at higher speeds.[:D]

Hi Kevin,
The Clutch is fine now. When Elliot gets back from the States, we will have to keep our lunch date and catch up with the enhancements that we all have done to our 964s
Best Wishes
Ken

Though I wouldn' t want one myself, Ken, I do feel that the lines of the third brake light echo those of your Targa' s roll-over bar rather nicely.

I share John' s emotion Ken, I wouldn' t rush to fit one to my coupe (also slate grey) but on the contrary, I think it suits the Targa.

I prefer the high level brake lights incorporated into a discreet spoiler as fitted to the Varioram 993. Does anyone have one of these? I think they are available as a retrofit to the 964.

Chaps.

Look at my experiences fitting one to my 964

These do look very neat, but I' m told, the hoop style is the only one that fits the Targa.

When I get the invoice for mine, we shall have to compare costs of the two different types.

Ken

Hi Ken,

Looks like a thumbs up for the brakelight then based on the replies above. Looking forward to lunch with you and conversing about the next item on the list, whatever that may be.

Having discussed the aesthetics of fitting a Third Brake Light.[;)]

What is the general opinion about having one fitted, as a Road Safety feature.

Ken,

For me this was the primary mover, my daughter likes to travel with us in the 964 and I was always concious of other cars/lorries etc on my rear, the standard lights IMNSHO are just too low for optimum viewing.
So as well as the asthetic standpoint, I had safety in mind before I made my choice.
