Whilst awaiting the coolant tubes from my previous post I decided that today was the day for fitting the third radiator.
Seemed fairly straightforward from what I had read and it was to be fair.
All the holes etc. for mounting are already on the car so it was a case of open the box and go.
Here is the radiator assembled with the air duct and the mounting plate - held together by the aluminium plate and a couple of bolts. I took the opportunity to wax the area which will be behind the radiator with some FK100P - great stuff for this kind of job.
I also used some Dynotrol which was applied to any seams or areas that may be a moisture trap.
Here is the assembly placed and loosely bolted in place just to make sure it all fits as it should.
As an extra it is advisable to have some extra vents under the radiator so the hot air has maximum escape routes - some of the US Forums suggested that the bumper is already marked with a fine moulding line indicating where the vents are to be cut - mine had nothing. A quick few measurements and I bit the bullet and the vents were cut!.
My apprentice watching intently....
All done and finished.
Ready of rthe radiators going back in tomorrow now I have the coolant tubes from the OPC.
