This weeks Auto Express had the actual official release pictures of the forth coming all new SLK including interior shot.

Whilst I can't see myself being tempted away from Boxsters I can see this new SLK giving Porsche something to think about which must be a good thing for the rest of us.

For example 272bhp 3.5 V6 with direct injection,variable valve timing and 350Nm of torque is produced 87 per cent of which is available at 1500rpm! Somehow next generation Boxster "S" with rumoured 266bhp doesn't sound impressive at all []

Alternatively, and are you reading this Dr Porsche 5.5 lite V8 with over 360bhp![8D] Now how long before we have a Boxster "SS"

According to Auto Express the answer is YES All new chassis and suspension tuned for well balanced handling along with a new short throw six speed manual gearbox that should achieve the ultimate feel by replacing the cables used for selecting ratios with more substantial rods [8D]
