This year's project

Towards the end of the summer, I intend to carry out a number of jobs on my 2000 3.2S: the driveshaft boots all need replacing which will mean dismantling a fair old amount of the rear suspension. Therefore its probably a good time to carry out any other suspension work while I'm at it. I have already replaced the control arm outer bushes with polyurethane items so I may as well replace the inner bushes now. I also need to fit new discs and pads and I want to fit new wheel bearings as these are on the way out.
Is there anything else that I should consider replacing at the rear while I'm doing this lot?

How are the dampers? I hate to say it (as I have a 2001) but after a few years they might well do with replacing?

Replacing....such an expensive sounding word[8D]

Try...reconditioning...Bilstein will do that for you at a fraction of the cost, they will match the dampers perfectly and will replace all internal parts too - good as new.

Thanks for your advice. The rear shocks were replaced just before I bought the car so they should be ok. The other big expense is going to be new tyres and of course the wheel alignment will need to be set up properly afterwards.
Either way, not a cheap affair.
