Thoughts on This Car

Err - looks sort of nice, but that doesn't look like a full leather interior as described - Seats look well worn. I hate the silicone lube they've smeered over the vinyl!
The exhausts pipes are pointing outward - as if they should have been fitted to a NB car, and swivelled to fit the WB.
All speculation until you've seen the car in the flesh, or had it PPI'd
Graham

The front looks normal enough to me.
The door cards are the light weight ones (no pockets, speakers, power windows etc) - like the advert says: for the RS - quite why you would buy an Wide-body car (with the extra weight) and then fit light weight door cards baffles me.
Like Graham says, they look like the narrow body "oval" exhaust tips fitted to wrong car - although angle is particularly extreem!
Vesuvious is a great colour and I'm jealous of the split rear spoiler. Colour of the wheels look good too.

As Graham (and Mark!) says:

Exhausts are at the wrong angle.

Door cards are the RS version - Not sure what they are doing on a C2S.

Unless I'm mistaken....

Just bought something very similar , mileage and pricewise , slightly less on both ,Zenith blue, with full ex factory X Pack and full history ...........these door cards mean too mean to replace originals if they get messed up or even very tight fit with hard back seats gives a little more 'space' with rs cards /Matching steeering wheel nice ............................needs checking ,about right IMO

Apart from the bits all ready mentioned - steering wheel is not correct - Wrong gear stick - Lights have been changed but car does look to be S but as said needs PCGB Reading VIN checking (as with any purchase)
Following VIN check suggest PPI Peter Morgan.

I think you will find that this is one of the limted edition cars with this paint colour - versuvius metalic. The colour is not my cup of tea and I suggest prior to long journey you take alook in the sales book of the time which gives a good idea of colour you would see. According to the sales book the model designation on the rear of the car, wheel centre, outside mirrors, door handles and spoiler grating are all painted steel grey. (as taken from Porsche Publication The 911 idea ww199 620 97e/ww - a sales book.

Hope that helps.

Looks okay to me.

Someone has fitted RS style lightweight door card, a non airbag RS style steering wheel and different hand brake & gear lever.
All would be seen as upgrades to some people, can be changed for originals if you don't like them.

The car looks nice, I personally would prfer it bog standard, but each to their own.

All would be seen as upgrades to some people, .....

Such folk should go and buy a 996 or 7 and stop messing with such beautiful cars[;)]

But, hey, why buy something modern when you can buy this antique and put it back to its original (even more quaint) spec.
