Throttle Boddies

Hi folkes,
After just replacing the complete exhaust system on my car for an SSI system and being very impressed with the result.I was wondering if anyone had fitted separate throttle boddies to their car.The ones that interest me are made by Jenvey, apparently recently advertised in classic Porsche magazine.
Your thoughts please, Phil.

I don't know anything about them, but my god they are sexy [8D]

I had thought that SSIs weren't supposed to be any good on a 3.2?

I know it does seem terrible to remove the standard equipment on our cars, but the advances made in the technology with just a bolt on part.I find it irresistable!!With the parts taken off and stored properly.I am seriously tempted.I am looking forward to the write up in classic porsche mag.
I will also counter the bad press on the SSI system it is brilliant, the exhaust note mid range pull of the engine and just the general feel of the car, that's what makes me feel the need to give these modifications a try.I would think twice if i had to cut and carve the bodywork that is definately out.

A friend has the SSI on his SC and oh the noise, the noise simply stunning. I have a great video of it on a dyno and oh the noise [:D]

I see no problem with changing things around especially when it is for something as sexy as those throttle bodies.

Well i thought some one might spoil the party, there had to be a down side.I will investigate this as i have made an appoinment to go and see the product at the factory.I know it needs furthur research,an extra 60bhp is not to be turned down lightly, but at a high cost in fuel i would say no.

I thought the same when i spoke to the guy at Jenvey, 60 bhp does seem highly optimistic. He might have included the re-chip and SSI as well.Modifications are nearly always wads of cash for miniscule gain,a bit like HI-FI.Worth checking out though.
