Throttle cable

I have developed a sticky throttle... Its a bit off putting when you need to brake, you have to reach down and lift the pedal. There is no mention of how to replace the cable in my Bentley manual, and I have tried the search facility on this site. Could anyone tell me if it is a DIY job? I have managed to expose the pedal assembly and the 'bearings' in the assembly seem to be moving without restriction. I dont want to jack the car up and be halfway through the job without the ability to finish it....Thanks !

I had the same problem it turned out to the pivot point of the pedal. must have been a bit of dirt as i cleaned it all out lubricated it and it seems to have been fine.

That has got to be the cheapest performance upgrade you can get. The sticky throttle cable was caused by the linkage under the car - easily sorted - but the throttle was only opening to about 80% of its max, which I had not picked up on before. This must have been like this since I bought the car, as it is totally transformed ! I highly recommend checking this out.
