Throttle linkage

Does any one have any information on the correct setting of the linkages / pedal position - or is it just guess work.

I've been having problems getting it feel right - and then I found out that some PO have welded in an inch section into the rod which travels across the drive shafts... Why oh why?

I guess what I'm asking is the correct angle of the pedal??

Any info would be of use - come on you Spanner boys!
 
not really sure, mine sits below the brake pedal and has about 2-2.5 inches of travel, notr sure if it right, but I can get full throttle which is all that matters[:D]
 
As Jon says the correct place to start is the pedal box. I've heard of people welding pieces into the linkage but I can't remember why.
 
never had that problem mine seams fine if you want me to take mine off and measure the lengh give me a call .

Thanks Mark... I've got a new rod on its way from the states... Just didn't know if there was a mathematical optimum angle for the Pedal?
 
yep there is an optimum angle........ foot down flat out means you are going F****** fast .......yee harrr..... [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
