Thursday 22nd May is our annual visit to Curborough for a day on the sprint course shared with our neighbours, Regions 8 and 13.

Curborough is situated off the A38 trunk road between Burton on Trent and Lichfield in Staffordshire.
The venue is Brown Signed once you are off the A38, and also on the A515 from the West.
Sat Nav
Latitude 52.712638 N
Longitude -1.802718 W

This is a safe place to take your car with lots of space to run off should you get it wrong.

Only one car at a time allowed on the 0.7 mile circuit.

There's a cafe on site for bacon butties etc and hot drinks.

The cost is £35 per car, passengers are free as are any spectators.

If you want to come please contact me and I'll put you on the list and give you instructions on how to pay.

Numbers are limited to 25 cars so don't wait until the last minute.

Please send me an email

Reserve List

Hi Colin, glad to see you're coming. Can you send me an email to the address above Cheers, David

We are all paid up, amazingly so. Condolences to those on the waiting list who'll have to wait until the day for any last minute cancellations.

I have orgainised a deal with the chuck wagon for breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea and hot drinks free for all drivers, so no need for picnic baskets. This deal does not include passengers nor spectators who'll have to pay. The time table is to walk the track at 10.30 and start runs at 11.00 and we intend to run batches of 5 to avoid queuing. You will all have to sign on before going on track and that includes any passengers I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday. *** There are five spaces available because of car problems or work commitments. ***

Thanks for orging this Dave Just to let you know, I had some issues with my 993C4 at Anglesey on Sat, so I will be coming in an Exige on Thu Do we need paper licence as well? Looking forward to it Clarkey - Steve Clarke R8

Regular driving licence will do whether paper or the newer photo type. Glad you have another toy to play with. I have 5 places available through cancellations or car issues.

Not sure on the helmet situation myself... It is not timed or competitive at all, so I'm sure your insurance will be pleased to hear that. [;)]

Helmet is not obligatory-I use mine in case I overturn[:-] Many people go topless assuming the weather is OK Dress is not like a PCGB trackday but a longsleeved shirt & long trousers does give added protection Gloves might add to your speed[:)]

Thanks very much for a brilliant day David. I will try to bring some more R19ers next time.

Many thanks from me too-great day -really liked the addition of the "8" circuit but quite confusing each time the circuit was changed -food included was nice addition & surprise & many thanks to Tom & Kerry for organisation.

Colin, I was getting confused too [:)] I think that's how I ended up making a new route!! A great day today and so lucky the rain held off until the end of the day. A great result with the café being open, so an excellently event all round.

Another great day ! Weather only a minor dampener at the end - fortunately much later than forecast. I had always wanted some wet laps to see how controllable the car was (PSM off) & was very pleasantly surprised. The included food was also a very pleasant surprise - I should read the forum posts more carefully ! I knew the catering wagon was going to be manned (womanned ?), but hadn't noticed it was included. For a days fun, you can't get a better bargain. Thanks to David, Tom & Kerry for the organisation. Paul 2004 911 C2 40th Anniversary (with slightly less tyre life than yesterday - LOL)

Nice to meet you Danny, have a great birthday [:)] Hope to see you at some other regional events throughout the year

Yes it was a great day and helped by the rain staying away until the end of the day which added to the skills portfolio. Big thanks to Garry for a magnificent passenger ride, I'm saving my pennies.

It was really good to meet both you & Gaenor-(well once the smoke had cleared[:D][:D])-your car did have a nice sound to it -but hadn't realised the effect your navigation had on Gary.[&o]
