Tilting Door Mirror in reverse

My car is fitted with electric seats with a memory function. I read in the manual that if I programmed the seat memory while the car is in reverse then the passenger door mirror should tilt down to show the rear wheels whenever I select reverse. I did this, but unfortunately it's the driver's mirror that tilts and not the passenger mirror.

I guess there is some setting somewhere to correct the problem. Does anyone know how to swap it over?

I've never had the feature, and haven't got a manual to hand, but I think both mirrors can be dipped in reverse. Do you have to have the mirror adjuster switch in the left hand position when you engage reverse?

Just found this:

If you wish for the passenger's mirror to swivel
down as a parking aid when reversing,
reverse gear must be engaged when the
seat position is stored.

Maybe you didn't do this when storing the seat position.

Unfortunately that's exactly what I did but the wrong mirror tilts. It's like the car is in LHD mode.

I've just looked at the coding instructions for the seat memory, and found this:

Modify coding

The following settings can be selected from the menu and encoded under the menu item Modify coding.

Coding Setting
"" Parking aid - active/ not active
"" Upper lumbar - present/ not present
"" Lower lumbar - present/ not present
"" Parking aid on door mirror - right/ left
"" Lowering - 10 to 120 degrees

It looks like it might have been coded incorrectly, or has lost its coding and gone to default settings. Should be easy enough to re-code. If you are anywhere near me I would be happy to do it for you.

That's great thank you. I'm in North Hampshire so not a million miles away. I'll contact you next time I'm coming your way.
